Compliments

Sun Jul 5, 2009, 10:05 PM
i find that now i have a regular jewelry business, i get the most interesting compliments. my most common is usually "these are beautiful" or "gorgeous".

the funny thing is young girls as young as 4 were pointing out that the pretty ones were the necklaces with huge pot leaves. of course the parents would raise an eyebrow and i'd snicker a bit and comment "well that's what they're made from" just to make the situation easier.

on friday night i had one guy say "these are sick! all of these are sick" and "this is so sick". of course "sick" now means "awesome" or "cool" so i was flattered. he even bought one and has been wearing it every day. i see people wandering around town who have bought an item still wearing it daily. i go to the hemp stores where my stuff is being sold and they have it displayed on the mannequins, not just on the jewelry wall, and even in the front window facing the street. the stores are selling like crazy and i have to refill them next week. the markets are just as busy if not more so.

i'm even getting all ages of people into them. there have been many customers over 50 yrs old buying things or at least not buying but kicking themselves when they didn't. and to think a boutique in parksville turned me down cuz they were afraid they wouldnt sell, lol.

i just had my first email from a potential customer (not a store, cuz only stores usually email me) who saw my stuff on canada day and got my email from their friend and they said they wanted to order one cuz they thought my necklaces were the coolest things ever! as marge simpson once said "i feel a swoon coming on" lol. :w00t:
